  1. The Mackintosh list is long! On several occasions Stan has come on a moments notice to make our cold home warm and our hot home cool...and it’s always a battle to get him to take money for his services. He has accompanied Scott on hunting trips scouting for the “big one”. Helped set up and take down girls camp and scout camps. Made children floats in our barn. Best of all he ALWAYS has a smile and a hello and sincerely asks “How are the Mackintosh’s doing?”. We love your Stan the man! Get well SoOn!

    1. I'll just begin my list Stanley has served me with love and kindness in the following ways: fixed my washers, dryers, dishwashers, furnace, cars, sprinklers, snowmobiles and more.  How has fixed most of these items multiple times.   He has helped installnsprinkler systems and roofed my home.  He has helped build my new home,  heating cooling, electrical, framing basement, and more.   The Saturday before he got sick he gave me a load of dirt and had jace help me with my car.   He has remodeled and fixed and installed for me and for my parents rental properties.    I don't know anyone who is a better example of service than Stan.     I love you Stan.  You have talent!

  2. Stan has served my family in a different capacity than most. I remember a time when my family was going through difficult times and Stan was always quick to ask how we were doing and offer words of encouragement. It wasn't just that he was asking how we were doing, it was how he asked it. He was like a protective big brother who wanted to make sure we were taken care of. He has been a great example of love and the power of family. His love for his family shines so brightly when he talks about you. Sometimes as family we don't get to hear how much our loved ones truly care about and love us. Alisha and family I want you to know how much Stan loves you. He talks about you and he lights up. Seeing how much he loves Alisha is inspiring. Even talking about boring everyday things about the family you can see that he would stop at nothing to make sure you all had everything you need. Our family loves you all and we are praying for Stan and strength for the family. Love, Dee and Larry Webb

  3. Stan has helped me by being my best friend. We go way back...since I moved near his home in the 5th grade. We quickly became friends because he was so easy to like. He always gave more to our friendship than I could give back. We have so many fond memories together growing up, some of which not many know about :). I remember pulling rye for many years together. He would bring a portable radio that fit in his back pocket. It would only get one good 80s radio station...which played the same songs every hour. We would all fight to see who could be closest to him so we could hear the songs. He would work the hardest by covering the most ground so that we all could hear the songs.

We started our first business together when we were about 12. We would scoop mink and rabbit doodoo into wheelbarrows and haul it into the fields. He always worked harder than me even though we got paid the same. He seriously never tired (and he had a better ability to ignore the stench).

He was always tinkering on snowmobiles and go carts and anything else with 2 or 4 wheels. He did everything to get them running so I could usually wreck them. He never complained about repairing them. When i was 16, he was towing my ford bronco home from Salt Lake City. We were on I-15 at the point of the mountain when the hitch came off and I was in the bronco. It rolled several times on the freeway and totalled the bronco. Somehow we both survived. The next morning, before I even woke up, Stan was at my house. I came outside and he was in the bronco looking at how he could fix it up. He never got discouraged by trials or set backs.

His first car was a big, long old galaxy. It would start with anything...a screwdriver, someone elses keys, anything that would fit into the key hole. He would always forget to lock the car. We would come out of school and people would always have pranked us and moved the car. He would laugh every time, find it, and just move on. One time we were driving down main street and someone threw a smoke bomb into the car. We all jumped out, several other friends jumped in, and with a screwdriver started the car up and left us. We spent most the night laughing as his car would pass us "cruising" main.

More recently, he has taught me the value of service and friendship. He always found out when I was visiting Utah. He was the only person who called me every time I got to Utah and always planned an outing together, even if it was just breakfast at One Man Band. I value his friendship so much. Just this Sunday, I was reflecting on what he has meant to me. He has taught me to not just give service to others when asked, but to take the opportunity to give service without being asked. Its an active, not passive, pursuit of his. He continues to show me what life is about. I am grateful we are friends. I love you Stan. Keep fighting!
